Paul, Mark, Alex and Kieran's Travels

After Buzios we moved on to Ilha Grande. It was such a great place. It is a small Ilsand south of Rio, there are no cars on the Ilsand so you have to either get the boat around the Ilsand or walk across it.

The first beach we went to was Lopez Mendez, this is meant to be the nicest beach on the island. Lopez Mendez was amazing, the water was so clear and clean it was like a swimming pool. It is also a good beach for surfing so we went surfing there quite a few times.

After Ilha Grande we moved on to Sao Paulo. This was such a change after being on Ilha Grande. There was not much to do in Sao Paulo during the day but the nightlife was good fun and we met lots of cool people.

We did go to a snake farm on one of our days in Sao Paulo, it was quite disapointing but here is a picture of a snake we saw anyway.

We only stayed in Sao Paulo for 3 days which was plenty of time. From there we came to Florianopolis where we are still currently staying. It is a cool place with good surfing, our hostel is in a great location right next to a really nice beach. I haven´t got any pictures of it yet but I will put some on soon.

We have now moved on from Rio and our in Buzios, it is really beautiful and the beaches are amazing. We leave here in 2 days to go to Ilha Grande.

Well, have been doing so much recently its hard to remember it all but will try.
Went to another Favela Funk Party (we take a minibus up to the favela and go to a sort of club that is just one massive room with loads of people dancing and really loud music) last night because it was so good the week before, Was pretty cool again but I was very tired so didnt enjoy it as much. We went up to Christ the reedemer the other day which was really amazing, we got up there by sunset so that made the views even better. I got lots of good pictures which I will put on here sometime soon.
We have been to a few street parties. went to Ipanema the other day and just chilled on the beach and then we heard loud music and saw loads of people walking down the road so went and joined in, there was so many people there and they are still only warming up for carnival.
We are leaving the hostal we are currently at in 2 days, we were going to another hostel, however one of the people that works here offered us an appartment over carnival time for a really good price, (cheaper than we are paying at the moment) so it will be cool to have our own place for a bit.
We are thinking about climbing sugarloaf mountain in a couple days, still not decided yet though, a few people from the hostel have been and said it was amazing, its a 4 hour climb so will be quite hard but will be cool to do it.
I will try and update the site again soon and let you all know how carnival is going. I will also try and put some pictures on soon, its hard cause the internet here is sloooooow.

We arrived in Rio after a long flight, Didnt get much sleep on the plane, my legs are way too long.
Was a really hot sunny day outside so that was a bonus as the weather forcast had said it was stormy.
From the airport we got a bus to where our hostel was, we found it quite easily considering its fairly tucked away. We got shown a tour of the hostel which is a really cool place, it has a pool table (a bit of a dodgy one but that adds to the fun of it), table tennis and a climbing wall.
Our room is pretty cool, it has its own balcony type bit with a hammoc which is awsome.
Once we droped our bags off at the hostel we went for a walk down to the beach, this turned out to be a bit of a trek as we went the wrong way the first time. We all got quite burnt because we didnt realise how far we were going to be walking but the beach looked pretty cool and we got our barrings a bit more.
We have been to some cool places, including a favela funk party which was amazing.
I will write more about what has happend later as I need to go have lunch now, will write again soon. and will put some pics on soon too, it takes quite alot of time to upload them so I will wait for a nice quite day to do it.

Just 2 more days till we leave!
Has been busy last few days, got pretty much everything we need and have been out for lots of leaving celebrations.
